Visual Improvement Grant Program
This City of Long Beach Visual Improvement Program (VIP) Grant will provide direct financial relief to local small businesses and nonprofits impacted by crime and vandalism on or after 10/1/2023. Eligible businesses can receive up to $1,000 to cover repairs to their storefront caused by vandalism. Eligible Uses of Funds: storefront repairs, boarding costs, insurance deductibles and business operating expenses. Grant applications are now open and will remain open until funding is exhausted. Grant awards will be issued on a rolling basis to all eligible applicants.
Long Beach Arts Council Grants
The Arts Council for Long Beach, as the premier arts partner with the City of Long Beach, is proud to offer four grant categories that support the vibrant and dynamic arts community in our city.
Bixby Knolls Foundation Grants for LB Business Improvement District Businesses
Facade Improvement Grants: Businesses seeking to improve exterior curb appeal, safety, and vibrancy can receive up to $2,000 for upgrades including paint, lighting, signage, repairs, windows, murals, and more.
Micro-Event Grants: Microgrants of up to $500 support community-building events that also drive foot traffic, increase visibility, and strengthen connections for participating businesses. Eligible events must partner with a business located within a designated Long Beach BID.
Crime Response Grants: Helps business owners recover from crime-related damage that occurred after April 1, 2026 by covering 80% of eligible repair costs, including vandalism and damage to doors or windows, up to $2,000.
Safety Lighting & Security Camera Grants: Provides up to $500 to help businesses install security cameras or improve safety lighting, enhancing visibility and security for those without cameras or needing lighting upgrades.
Port of Long Beach Grant Programs
The Port of Long Beach’s Grant Programs are designed to help lessen the impacts of operations at the Port of Long Beach on the community. The grants will help address effects on air quality, traffic, noise and water quality on local schools, healthcare centers, senior facilities and the wider community.
General Small Business Grants
Awesome Foundation Grant (Applications Open Monthly)
Each month, the Awesome Foundation awards grants of $1,000 to individuals and groups looking to fund various projects. The Awesome Foundation is made up of 84 independently run chapters, with members contributing to a microfunding pool that goes towards grant projects. Though funding is not limited to businesses, startups, and small businesses have been among the recipients of the monthly grants. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Breva Thrive Grant
To qualify for the Breva Thrive Grant, your business must be legally registered and generating revenue. Breva also prefers startups with at least one year in business, as well as those in low-income areas. Grants are awarded on a quarterly basis. Winners will receive a $5,000 grant to boost their business growth and enhance their community impact.
The Freed Fellowship Grant (Applications Open Monthly)
U.S.-based small business owners can apply for a monthly $500 grant from The Freed Fellowship. Applicants are evaluated based on the 5C Framework, which assesses various aspects of applicants’ business. Along with the grant, applicants receive feedback on their business and a two-month free membership in the Freed Studio, a community of ambitious business owners. Grant recipients are also eligible for an end-of-year grant of $2,500.
Hustler’s MicroGrant (Applications Open Monthly)

The mission is simple: to provide grants and invaluable resources to promising small businesses across the United States. With applications open each month, the process is straightforward and dynamic.
Intuit QuickBooks x Mailchimp Small Business Hero Program
The Intuit QuickBooks and Mailchimp Small Business Hero Program awards $20,000 grants to U.S. small businesses with owners aged 18 or older that show courage, perseverance, and integrity. Three winners are chosen each quarter and receive both funding and resources to help grow their business. Nominations are open to anyone who wants to recognize a small business hero in their community. The current round is open through May 15, 2026.
Outta Excuses Grant
Outta Excuses provides financial support to aspiring and established small-business owners. To qualify, you need to have a registered business and less than $125,000 in revenue in the last quarter. You should also demonstrate a need for funding and access to business coaching. Grants are awarded on a quarterly basis. Both nonprofit and for profit businesses are eligible to apply. Grants range from $500-$10,000.
Secretos Small Biz Grant
The Secretsos™ Small Business Grant offers $2500 to accelerate small business owner’s success, focusing on owners who are committed to evolving, leading with integrity, and inspiring change. Whether it’s hiring new team members, overcoming financial hurdles, or implementing innovative strategies, this grant provides the push you need to make a significant positive impact. Applications open on the first day of each quarter at 12:00 am CST and close on the last day of the quarter at 11:59 pm CST. First Quarter: January 1 – March 31, Second Quarter: April 1 – June 30, Third Quarter: July 1 – September 30, Fourth Quarter: October 1 – December 31
Skip Instant Grant
Skip offers Instant Grants on a rolling basis, with funding opportunities that have short turnaround timelines. Grant rounds are typically announced a few days in advance and occur twice weekly, with application deadlines on Tuesdays and Fridays. Applicants are required to participate in Skip’s YouTube livestream as part of the selection process.
Spectrum Reach Pay It Forward
Spectrum Reach’s Pay It Forward program provides complimentary TV and streaming advertising, an original commercial, mentoring, and educational resources to help locally owned small businesses grow. Eligible applicants include for-profit businesses that have been operating for at least one year and are legally registered in a participating U.S. designated market area. Businesses must not have advertised with Spectrum Reach in the past 13 months and cannot compete with Spectrum or its divisions. The deadline to apply is December 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PST.
Women & Minority Groups Business Grants
Amber Grants for Women
WomensNet is proudly giving away at least $30,000 every month in Amber Grant money. In recognition of the diversity of businesses owned by women, they’ve also expanded their grant-giving to include “Startup Grants,” “Business Category Grants,” as well as three “$50,000 Year End Grants. Asian Pacific Community Fund (APCF)
The APCF works in Los Angeles County to fund nonprofit organizations serving low-income and underserved API communities. To date, APCF has distributed over $2.23 million across more than 308 grants. It also offers a range of programs, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to support long-term sustainability and growth.
The Breakthrough Grant: Vol III.
The Breakthrough Grant, offered by Her Agenda and funded by community contributions, provides $5,000 to support an ambitious woman entrepreneur who is working to advance or grow her business. Applicants must be women entrepreneurs and must be actively subscribed to the Her Agenda newsletter to qualify. Applications are due September 18, 2026, at 11:59 PM EST.
Breva Thrive Grant

HerRise Microgrant (Applications Open Monthly)
The HerRise MicroGrant, providing $1,000 each month, is available to under-resourced women, including women of color entrepreneurs, across a variety of industries. Your business must be:
- 51% owned by women
- Currently registered in the US
- Less than $1 million in gross revenue
Kitty Fund for Mom Entrepreneurs – Founders First
The Kitty Fund makes small micro investments in Moms who are running employer-based small businesses with two or more employees. They offer 20 microgrants annually of $1,000 per business with flexible funding you can put toward the needs that matter most — equipment, operations, staffing, or growth.
Nonprofit Grants
Her Village Grants
One Her Village grant is awarded annually to a partner organization 501c3 that shares Boundless Futures Foundation’s mission of solving systemic inequities through transformational support for female founders. Qualifying nonprofit Her Village grantees make a deep impact through their work to advance and strengthen women’s entrepreneurial resources, networks, access to capital, and educational opportunities with a focus on social enterprise and the power of businesses to be agents of positive social change.
Patagonia Grants for Nonprofit Organizations:
Patagonia’s Corporate Grants Program supports grassroots activist organizations that have direct-action agendas and are working on strategic, multipronged campaigns to preserve and protect the environment. They support local groups that work to protect local habitats and frontline communities through bold, original actions and are most interested in awarding these grants to organizations that identify and work on the root causes of problems, and approach issues with a commitment to long-term change. Their typical grant size varies from program to program, but generally ranges between $5,000 and $20,000.
Wells Fargo Grant
Applicants addressing financial health, housing affordability, small business growth, and sustainability will all be considered. To qualify, organizations must hold 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status (or equivalent for public schools, tribal entities, or governmental agencies), demonstrate fiscal stability, and address critical community needs centered around diversity, equity, and innovation. Applications are by invitation only, though eligible nonprofits may submit a grant interest form for consideration.
