Meet Dr. Nimesh Pathak:

How long has your business been located in the Zaferia area of Long Beach?

The business was successfully launched on July 5th, 2016, in Zaferia, located in the Park Central Professional Building at 5175 E. Pacific Coast Hwy.

What need does your business meet for residents of Long Beach?

We provide routine and emergency eye care for the residents of the Greater Long Beach area. Our commitment to protecting and maximizing our patients’ vision and eye health allows them to better accomplish their goals. My objective is to get the patient out of glasses, not to sell them glasses. This is why Lucent Vision is very affordable. We are streamlined, we perform our own billing, we have a small, nimble staff, and that is how we keep our costs low. We accept Medicare and most insurance plans similar to the larger-sized eye care centers.

Why do your clients/customers select you over your competitors?

Lucent Vision is unique as an eye care provider. We provide eye care services with a personalized touch. Instead of the assembly line approach that is becoming more common in medicine, our company mission statement is to deliver “Compassionate Eye Care.” That means more face time with the doctor, friendly office staff, and premium results. We are the only truly patient-centered eye clinic in the Long Beach area and I like to consider us as the local hardware store on Main St., rather than a Home Depot. We obtain results for our patients and this is why all of our patients are either referred by other patients or primary care physicians.

What is your background and how did you get started with your business?

I was raised in nearby Orange County. My training has taken me to the Bay area, Chicago, and New York City. Ultimately, I chose to practice my craft in Long Beach. After seeing how larger eye centers in the area could not deliver the level of customer service that I believe patients deserve, I decided to launch a practice that was built around the patient experience. With a ton of hard work, excellent outcomes, and strong word-of-mouth, our eye clinic has thrived in our current location in Zaferia.
